We all love speed. At least that is what we believe or have been taught to believe. That’s why we build racing cars and roller coasters. But imagine being on a roller coaster for your entire life, feel like throwing up? That is exactly what our lives have become! We all are round the clock racing in the formula 1 of life.

Have you ever wondered why most people become uncomfortable after a roller coaster or during a takeoff? Because our bodies aren’t wired to be comfortable with speed. Then why do some people love the thrill? Well, adrenaline makes them feel good by pumping more blood and increasing sugar-level in the body. But an excessive amount of adrenaline harms the heart because it is a stress hormone.
We all have become so habituated with instant gratification – two clicks and food at your doorstep, taxi at your doorstep, a date at your doorstep. And to be able to get what we want faster makes us happy. It’s almost like practicing piano for a day and performing in a concert the next.
Instant gratification has made us believe that achievement is an achievement only if we get it first, so we speed up.
